Very detailed and interesting exhibition. Fantastic atmosphere created by the surroundings and staff. We were able to visit whilst the venue was quiet so were able to enjoy the entire display. Enthralling. The location is stunning, the view from the top of the venue is also breath taking. Well worth the visit.

Honestly not great would be better for kids and could be so much better. It came across as if they set it up and just left it. The staff seem to be only concerned about whose turn it is to go out for a smoke. The best thing is it's free and you can use the bathroom.. could and should be so much better

Great museum! I really enjoyed it. Must go if you are into history (of cities and their defense structures), and if you want to understand the location of Valletta, all the forts and the Harbour. It shows the start of strongholds in prehistoric times all the way up to WW2 and Cold War. The exposition relies mainly on information panels as their are not many relicts or archeological objects. Entrance is free.

Very goood collection of information, quite informative about purpose, construction techniques and military purposes of all fortifications in Malta. Worth the visit, only thing is that it is not free admission anymore, now it is 2 euro, very affordable but good to know for people that they need to bring change to the museum
