The good points about staying at the hotel are the central location, the room styles, the friendly and English speaking staff but the bad points are the noise as you'd hear people in the morning when they're opening or closing their doors since the rooms require old style keys instead of new digital ones + the rooms are not dark enough as they lack draping and extra curtain layers to make the room dark and more importantly there is no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee, no drinking water provided complimentary and no safe in the room to store your valuable items. It's good for its central location but needs improvement in terms of noise control.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the city. Very close to everything. The staff were very friendly and attentive. All staff spoke good English. I would highly recommend Hotel Gintama if you want a quiet hotel with old world charm.

We were very disappointed, bedrooms are so small. It is not as the pictures, everything is old and very small. It is in the city center but not easy to find because it is underground. No one was answering the Internet messages. Only good thing about this place is the friendly staff.
