I chose this hotel for its location and found it very convenient during my stay to visit Marseille and the surroundings. Admittedly, the hotel (rooms, corridors) is a bit dated... A throw back to the 80s but modernised with good WiFi, decent TV,. A/C and a comfy bed. No in-room safe but deposit box available in reception If my expectations weren't high for a budget hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great. Really nice bread, freshly prepared pancakes. Don't miss the Madeleines cakes. Also freshly baked

Stayed here 2015 and loved it. This time, no. Key cards repeatedly fail to work after the first time- traveling with elderly father, I would say I have now been to a bored and unhelpful reception about 8 times in one evening to get the card sorted. Mosquito in room too, told there is nothing they can do. Not impressed, tired, hot , not getting what have put hard earned cash into.

This is a pretty standard Ibis hotel - no frills in sight, but it's certainly reasonable for what you're paying. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, and the room was a good size, comfortable and quiet at night despite overlooking the train station. The decor and the whole vibe of the place is more utilitarian than memorable. But considering the proximity to the centre, I'd say it gives good value for money. And my experiences of the restaurant (I ate there on three nights) were over all very good.

Some similarities, I never imagined the treatment they were going to give me, they make you feel like a criminal for picking up an extra apple for breakfast and that we were half board, the room they gave us smelled of tobacco, the carpet was dirty and There were cockroaches. Unprecedented, we will not return, an experience to forget.

No air con but the frontdesk staff doesn't explain why. The staff only recommended us to open the window in which I am staying at the 1st floor. Aparted from the noise, I don't think it's secured either. (updated: it's 2:30 am and some workers is working outside. Very noisy.
