This was a totally unique place to visit. It is located in an alley which adds to the experience. There was a line to enter the store and the line moved fast. Know how much you want to spend on fortune cookies before getting to the cash. It was a very quick visit but the owner was charming and seeing them make the cookies while we were there was fascinating. It is an assembly line and you feel like you are in one as well as you shuffle through. As you leave with freshly made warm cookies it's hard not to smile and embrace the vibrancy of San Francisco.

Expect a long line. It is worth the wait. You can create your own fortune cookie fortunes and hand it to the lady making the cookies. She will place it in the fortune cookie for you. Obviously at a price but very cool to watch how it is done. Great taste as well.

Love this historic Fortune Cookie factory. The most delicious freshly made Fortune Cookies made in front of you. Light, crispy.and flavorful. They offer vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and green tea flavors. Also jumbo and Belgium chocolate dipped! You can even do custom fortunes for one cookie!!!!

A bit smaller than I expected, but I enjoyed my time here. Golden Gate Fortune Cookies is a small fortune cookie factory located in the heart of Chinatown. Its entrance is hidden in an alley, but it's a great find. The small size can get packed rather quickly with tourists, but the staff takes their time answering every question & the lines move fast. Most people come to buy a few cookies and leave. Some want to make their own cookies. And there are novelty chocolate-dipped & sprinkled cookies for those with a sweet tooth. There's something for everyone here -- assuming that you're not on a low-carb diet. 4/5. Great experience. Must try if it's your first time in SF Chinatown. Don't find myself coming back too often since I need to avoid the sweets.

Much smaller than I thought it'd be, but very cool. You can see fortune cookies being made and you can write your own fortunes and have them put into cookies. They also have giant fortune cookies and "dirty" (adult) fortune cookies.
