A moving and memorable experience. Hope the renovations make it even better!
Well worth a visit, and especially taking advantage of the guided tour. We were just passing as it was opening for the day and decided to call in. We were given an excellent window into the lives of some fascinating folk who made up the Jewish community in the past. And they gave plans for expansion and improvement, so it will be worth making a return visit.
Well worth a visit. A very interesting museum. The Ark and stained glass windows are beautiful.
Sorry but I must review this place as I experienced it. I knew it was due to move to new location in July what I did not expect was to have to pay to be in the middle of a health and safety issue. Scaffolding on the floor of the synagogue. Nothing to buy. Exhibits have been removed or packed away... This place really should not be charging at the moment. And place signs around informing people of the health and safety issue.....In fact it should be closed now if only for the safety of the public.
OK if you're interested in Manchester Jewish history. Not good for wheelchair users, but is about to be renovated and improved.
