Fabulous family day out! We enjoyed the grounds, the servants quarters and the Orangery. Unfortunately we weren't able to visit the house due to ongoing restorations which is the reason for the 4 star and not 5 star review. The day was overcast and chilly but thanks to very engaging and informative staff the weather went unnoticed. We didn't experience the restaurants because we took a picnic for which there is ample space to enjoy. The icing on the cake was the story telling by Percy the Park Keeper. (It was World Book Week after all). The gift shop was typically priced for National Trust goodies but as it's a larger (than we have come across) shop there was a wider variety of things to choose from. The grounds are very well looked after and access is suitable for all abilities even pushchairs and bicycles. Parking is also in good condition, with plenty of space available. We would definitely recommend a visit here.

As National trust members this is great. Recommend the gardens and the winter walk. Will come back in the summer for the deer park. Recommend taking seed for the very friendly robins who will hand feed.

A beautiful park and grounds to go for a walk any day of the year, the animals and nature throughout the forest and park are lovely, picturesque and peaceful. The tea rooms and restaurant are great, plenty of selection and room and gift shops are great and have some really nice souvenirs etc at affordable and not too expensive prices. Definitely worth a trip out for a few hours peace and quiet on your own or with family and friends.

One of my favourite national trust places. Large car park (quite expensive if you're not a member ~£6-7), nice visitors center with cafe shop and loos. The park itself is great, skirting the outside path gives a reasonable walk and there's plenty of dear to see while you're going round. The gardens are also worth a visit, fairly large but offers some nice grassy areas for sitting in the summer. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Me and the family are regular visitors to Dunham and all love it. The kids love the deer, exploring the grounds and feeding the ducks. Very family friendly cafe in the stables with a kids section. Our national trust membership is worth it just with the visits here. Also the Christmas lights event is fantastic and worth booking.
