Absolutely gorgeous place. Clean inside and out with a nice variety of different sized auditoriums to suit any and all types of entertainment. Most recently went into the studio, which I didn't even know existed. It's a lovely, small, intimate room that holds 100/120? Was perfect for standup. The bar has great views, and a choice of board games. It's amazing!!!
Went to watch a Monster calls. Every credit to the cast. An amazing performance. The staff are so kind and helpful. Had a drink in the cafe after and the staff lovely to. Nice choice of gluten free cake as well. Would definitely go again.
The lowry is a lovely place to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You have a great view of the stage wherever you sit(very comfortable seating) and the refreshments are very reasonably priced.there is a lot of stairs but also lifts so wheelchair access isn't a problem. The toilets where spotlessly clean and everywhere is signposted well. My only concern is the car parks. They are a few minutes walk from the theatre and they fill up rather quickly so you then have to park further away. You can however be dropped off / picked up a few feet from the foyer . There is also a taxi rank a few yards from the entrance.
Went to see Buddy Holly story tonight, it was brilliant. The whole cast are talented and the music fabulous ( they play the instruments themselves). I was not impressed when I asked how much for small size bag of sweets..£3:00 I was told! Apparently a tub of ice cream was also £3:00. Overall a fabulous night.
Absolutely phenomenal theatre with incredible sets, plays and sound that really draws you into the production. If you ever get the chance to see something here then grab it and take your chance. Out of the bundle of theatres i have been to, this is my favourite for all around experience and production.
